If you have dry, damaged hair, a gentle moisturizing cleanser will be your hair’s best friend! Try SheaMoisture’s Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo
I haven’t tried this but the reviews are great and EWG gives it a good rating.
I love this so far, I’ve been using it for a week and no reaction to my scalp. It really cleans, smells great and doesn’t dry my hair out.

You don't need much of this shampoo, but it cleans well, while leaving my hair manageable. I will defiantly recommend this to my friends.
A little about my hair before I leave a review (because everyone's hair will react differently): I'm not African-American, I'm Middle Eastern. I have thin hair, but a lot of it. I only wash my hair twice or thrice a week. I've done just about everything to my hair; expensive salon shampoo and conditioner, the "no-poo" method with baking soda and apple cider vinegar, and now finally I have found my hair savior! This product is fabulous, and I paired it with the anti-breakage and volumizing biotin hair masque from this company. I've only been using these products for three weeks and my hair feels absolutely amazing. My hair is the softest its ever been, smells great, and completely repaired my hair after frying it with the no-poo method. STAY AWAY FROM THE NO-POO METHOD! But if you're like me and were intrigued by reviews about the no-poo method, tried that method, and realized you were horribly wrong, get this shampoo and hair masque! I love the smell and the natural ingredients. I cut 2 inches off my hair three weeks ago, and my hair has already grown an inch!
Great all natural shampoo. Smells really nice. It works like a cleansing conditioner, no foam. Takes a little getting used to and figuring out how much to use. Good value compared to other all natural shampoos. I bought the conditioner too but I don't think you really need it with this since it's so moisturizing.
